Sparking Innovation in Risk Mitigation:
An Interactive Workshop on How to Use Design Thinking and Decision Science to Unlock Effective Risk Strategies

Solve the right thing.
Solve the thing right!
     ~Anon

We’re delighted to invite you to this interactive workshop event!  How many risk strategies have failed because effort focused on the wrong problem?  How many good strategies have failed because they lacked the necessary buy-in? Managers of risk are acutely aware of these challenges. The good news is they are avoidable.

During this stimulating hands-on experience, participants will learn how to use Design Thinking and Decision Science tools to understand and address important risks using people-centered and analytical strategies.  Design Thinking is a proven process for innovation and problem-solving that emphasizes a deep understanding of people, effective ideation, and rapid prototyping for generating solutions that sick. Decision Science is a social-analytical process for guiding high quality decision-making in teams.

Over the course of an afternoon, participants will complement their risk management toolbox by discovering how to:

Use empathy and synthesis methods to uncover unmet end-user needs
Apply the rules of brainstorming to generate high quality ideas (- yes, there are rules!)
Rapidly prototype and design effective solutions
Devise collaborative value-driven strategies.
